Our aim is to promote the ‘Rights of the Child’ for all pupils in Heronsbridge. We have been lucky enough to work alongside the Child’s Commissioner for Wales’ to develop accessible information for all children to know about their rights. Our school council drives pupil voice within school.
We are proud to be a Gold Award Rights Respecting School with the help of Rexy, our Rights Respecting Mascot.

Super Ambassadors have three jobs. These are to:
- Inform other pupils in school about the Commissioner and her powers
- Make sure other pupils know about about children’s rights under the UNCRC.
- Do special missions for the Commissioner in their school – these inform the work of our office and have a real impact on our work and on children’s rights in Wales
